Proud Mama!

I know, I know you thought this would be about 4 kids...and I'll get to that, but we have been waiting many years to hatch our own chicks and today it happened! I know this is not rocket science, but it is a big deal to us!   They are just too cute and sweet!  Cay went down to feed them around 2, and then we went to the creek. When we got back, they were hatched and strutting around in the coop!

Husbands in Training: Trying to do my part!

These boys... are painting.

-fixing and making do with what they have...learning how to use power tools.

-taking orders from ladies...

--learning to ride double...

--working on being careful drivers with precious cargo...


--building bridges...

-learning to hunt for their own food...



--taking damsels in distress on their boats...

--being gentle when ya got to be...
--learning animal husbandry (ha!)

---dealing with being cold (toughness needed)...



--being silly when life calls for it...
--making straight A's to one day, hopefully, bring home the bacon...

--building cabins...
--learning to make a good fire for roasting...
--cleaning fish...

Now, If I could just get them to pick up their clothes and cups that are littered around the house.  Oh well, wives have to complain about something one day...
