The Olympics...and other random thoughts

It has been really fun to be able to record the Olympics. We have FF through events that we don’t like and also the commercials to watch 5 hours of sports in about 2! It has been refreshing to have the TV on and know that it is clean enough for Jeb to see. He loved the platform diving—He said, “I would be terrified…please don’t ever make that my job.” I thought terrified was a great word for a 3 year old! I agreed with his evaluation that that indeed is terrifying. I think the runners looks gross…like robot machines or something. The gymnastics events are my favorite. Jeb liked the men’s rings. We also thought the trampoline was cool, who knew that was a sport! WOW! They were jumping so high! I like LaCrosse …I think that I would have enjoyed that sport if it were around here. I also wish that a swim team would have been at my high school. I think that would have been a great sport for me with the heat and the asthma! The tennis court is obviously not ideal for an asthmatic in July! Speaking of tennis…I miss playing. I love having the boys and nursing Caleb, but I miss the laughs and the exercise and the challenge of team tennis. This summer I was able to play with the “Fun Bunch” at Spindle Tree and I enjoyed that. I hope to get back out there with the Spindletree Matees Combo team this spring when competition really counts for state championships. I just need to find some time to practice!
